First Time Home Buyer's Workshop
This class is designed to help first time home buyers learn the basics about the home buying process. Learn not only the lingo but leave better prepared to successfully complete the home buying process. Course covers: Housing Decisions, Financial Preparation, Shopping for a Home, Mortgages, Avoiding Fraud in Lending, Mortgages, Closing and Maintaining your Investment.
Classes are held at least quarterly at the Columbia Gorge Community College in both Hood River and The Dalles. Spanish speaking classes offered in Hood River only. Please check their most current schedule for times and dates.

Financial Literacy
Financial literacy means having the knowledge, skills and habits needed to successfully manage money at the personal or family level. This concept encompasses numerous other terms, such as "personal finance" or family economics. In today's increasingly complex economy, financial literacy is a universal need for everyone. In this 4 hour course, you will learn how to handle money wisely, learn basic money management skills, develop personal money management goals, and learn to spot signs of potential financial trouble.
